Traveling Around North Malaysia

Its a beautiful Tuesday(26 NOV), today my family and I woke up very early about 7a.m.. After we have cleaned and took our brakfast then I started to packed all those stuff into the car. Around 8a.m. we started to travel from Kuantan to Kenyir lake. Along the coastal way we past through some malay villages such as Kemaman. Kemaman coffee quite popular here. Some people from Kuantan came here just wanted to enjoy its coffee. A couple of hours later my mom n sister wanted to go to toilet, since there are no petrol station around that area so we stopped at the nearest resort call Avana Kijal. While we stopped I took some photo there to prove that I went there before. 5 minutes later, we continue our journey. Not far from the resort we past through the Petronas factories, that factories is huge, I think a few acre. A few hours later its about 12 to 1 p.m. we reach Kuala Terengganu. My father went to office for a while and he asked us went to the coffee shop just opposite his office to took some tea while waiting him. Nothing special about Terengganu just a small malay town with some building. 1 hour later, we went to have some lunch with his staff around the town in Nill restaurant just beside the seashore. His malay staff ordered some famous malay food to us such as ox tail soup, kangkung with balacan and also taufu with some chili source. All the food there are spicy. After that we continue our journey with the stomach full of malay food. On the way, i took a nap cause i feel so tired then when i woke up we already reach the junction of the kenyir lake. Still got a few kilometre to reach kenyir lake from the junction. It takes us half an hour to reach that kenyir lake resort and spa. First impression for me to the resort is beautiful and high class. we parked our car outside the car park area, and there is a buggy came to picked us up to the lobby. Our car can't go in because the road to the lobby is to small and narrow, so whatever we want to do we must called a buggy to picked us up. After we have checked in, we took a buggy to our chalet. the room is big, its enough for four of us to sleep on that night. Unluckily it drizzling in the whole evening but we did not give up, we still took an umbrella and walk around the resort trying to took some photo until the dinner time. Since our room not far from the lobby so we walk to the restaurant. On the way, we saw some wild boar about 5 of them just outside our chalet. I wanted to took some photo but it run away when it saw us. When we reach the restaurant, i feel strange because we are the only one who having dinner on that time. We very enjoy our dinner there, the food there also nice to eat. After dinner, we back to lobby again and there is a singer sing songs to us. Before that there is no one listen to her song, when she saw us she quickly sing a song to us, so we stay at the lobby and listen to the song while waiting the stomach to digest all the food. I feel very enjoy there. While listening the song I took some photo in the lobby. After that we all went to sleep. The next morning, I also woke up very early because I wanted to see the morning view in kenyir lake resort. I jogged around the resort again with my mom and dad. In the morning the air are fresh just like the oxygen just came out from the tree around us. Around 10a.m. After we have cleaned, there is a buggy took us to the jetty to started our lake adventure that we book last evening. The first place we went is the hydroelectric dam. This is my first time to visited a dam so big in my life. We took some photo on the dam, the worker there said that there are 7 dam in kenyir lake and this is the one with hydroelectric power station. He also said that the electric that generated from this station is for whole Peninsular Malaysia. Not only that, he also said the water maximum can go 150 metre and above from the sea level and there are 3 villages below the surface of the kenyir lake, you can dived into the lake and you can still saw some kampung houses below the lake. About half and hour on the dam, we continue our journey to the Lasir waterfall, it took us about half and hour to reach the waterfall. We took some photo before we have our bath there. The water is clean and extremely cold but it is comfortable while inside the water or you sited on the stone and let the water flow through your body. We took about 1 hour there to enjoy our bath. After that came to the end of the journey. Before we went back, we went to a island call herbal island. That island full of herbal, any herbal that you know can found in the island. We also drunk some original and pure Tongkat Ali without adding anythings inside, it tasted a little bit bitter, quite nice also. Besides that nothing special about that island already so i took some photo and then we back to the resort. What a wonderful day!! while we reach the jetty the cloud started to drizzling again. We went back to our room and packed our stuff then prepared to checked out and continue our journey to Kota Bharu. We started our journey about 4p.m. and reach Kota Bharu about 7 to 8p.m.. Again is a bored town. We stayed in crystal lodge, it's a small hotel and cost us less than RM100, quite cheap so we took 2 rooms. Besides dinner nothing can do in the town. the whole town just like a death town for me. During the dinner, we have Thai food, its delicious but spicy also. After that we went back to lodge and watch tv in the room. In Kelantan can recieve Thai channel. In the next morning, after my dad back from work we continue our journey to Penang. My dad said there is a east-west highway to Penang, if you think that a highway have two to three links along the way to Penang then you are wrong, it just a Kampung road, I also felt surprise when I saw that. Along the way i saw some beutiful river and there are some people fishing there. I believe that the river is part of the kenyir lake. My dad stopped the car and let us to took some photo and went for toilet. Half way to Penang, my dad's car tyre punchure. I help my dad to change tyre. It took half and hour to finish the changing. About 3 to 4 hours we reach Penang-our half hometown. We stay in Gurney hotel in gurney drive. The room is big and confortable. We have our dinner just around the hotel. Wah!! the food is extreamely delicious, 4 people with at least 6 to 7 dishes. After the dinner, we walk along gurney drive to help us digest all the food. In the next morning after breakfast we went to a famous place in Penang-pagoda to took some photo. I remember that when I was young I went there before. After that we went down from pagoda to have some laksa. The laksa also tasted delicious. I cannot find a second Laksa like this in Malaysia. About 2p.m. we went to Seberang Prai to repair our car. It take 1 hour to repair. Then we back to KL again. Along the way, we stopped by at Changkat Jering to buy some fruit. My dad bought two big manggo there. After that we stopped again in Ipoh to have our dinner. We stayed in Kota Kemuning for 2 days. During this 2 days, we went shopping and I saw some beutiful girl in 1 utama. After that we back to Kuantan again.
